100 % Volunteer Run

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave

me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in." -Matthew 25:35

Hi, I'm Robert Varela

| Director of Father McGivney Foodbank |

The Father McGivney Food Bank is a non-profit organization that is completely operated by volunteers from Queen Creek and the surrounding area.

The Food Bank was a dream brought to fruition by Directors Robert Varela & Steve Way in 2009, who thought it would be just a small little thing that they could do to help people.   However, It has now grown into something MUCH bigger and served more than 100,000 people for a total of between 450 and 500 families every week.

What Our Guests Say

Our guests' feedback says it all...

The foodbank has been a life saver for our family in a desperate time of need. My husband lost his job in 2017 and we received such love and support during that time. We have been volunteering on and off ever since because we wanted to give back and be a part of something so special.

-Edward & Christina

So glad to have this resource available in our community. Everyone is so nice. They definitely do not make you feel bad for needing help. If you are in need of assistance, don't hesitate to come here. Thank you to all of the nice volunteers for all you do.

-Rachel H.

Food bank is a great place to be. I currently serve there. They are a great place to go to get food if you are in need. I would highly recommend this food bank for those who are in need of food. They have a kind staff. Everyone there is 100% volunteers. And they all have the love and smiling faces when you show up. They are more than happy to help you. I highly recommend this food bank.

This pantry saved my life. The volunteers here are so genuine caring and nice. I'm forever grateful and thankful for this place. May God continue to bless each and every one of you. And thank you to the people who donated. May your blessings come back to you triple fold
